NOAA Microwave Sounder Workshop

NESDIS is exploring moving towards a disaggregated and distributed low-Earth-orbiting (LEO) architecture with the goal of launching sensors and missions in a more agile way in the near future. A critical part of the distributed LEO architecture could be free-flying microwave sounders on smallsats.

As we formulate a microwave sounder satellite mission, we invite you to participate in a one-day virtual workshop on July 28, 2021 to provide feedback that will help us better understand which microwave frequencies are critical to numerical weather prediction and other applications.
